PostSubject: My radline!   Fri Aug 08, 2008 11:10 am

Before: http://www.radlinerc.com/Elite_Series.html

After: Here is my xmod radline hybrid. Its running 5 cell with evo board insulated antenna, antenna extension on the controller (huge amount of range compared to stock!), custom chasis on the radline with custom awd shaft, hs-55. Very smooth and lighter than the stock radline! Just want to get some upgrades like a new motor, lipo, and shocks when I get some dough. I have another surprise coming after I come back from vacation.

Will have a vid comming later in the day (if it doesnt rain)

Q's and comments always welcome.

I think this is mini scale 1/24?

Thanks! Atomicmods new W1-180

http://www.atomicmods.com/Products/Atomic-W1-180-Modified-Motor__14224.aspx

Not sure about lipo. I want to use the stock battery trays with their button top lithiums but I'm not sure where I'm gonna get my charger...any ideas?

Looks good!
All you need to do is strip the paint of the body, and custom paint it!

@sk8r Thanks!

@MTM Thanks, I'm thinking about stripping the body down but i may just ahve something for a little bit more show than race. I'm still trying to mess with the gearing and see how fast I can really get it.

Id say 15mph with the more torque than top speed gearing and motor. Just want a little more torque and speed with a 180 and liths. Couldn't get a video up because of bad weather and I'm leaving for vacation tomorrow so I won't be here until the 15th.

I got the lights installed last night and let me tell you it looks sick, when I get back I'll have some more pics and a vid!

It is entry level R/C tower stocks em. 15 isn't do bad considering it is as long as an Xtruck. With some lipo and a bigger motor I'm looking about about 35 to 40.

Considering its a 1/24th scale, 15mph is a good speed. Its like an xmod only off road and faster.

If that was a full size truck it would be going 360mph.... 24 X 15=360. That's pretty good.

People are using the radline motors in their xmods because they have loads of torque but still have the speed a crawler motor doesn't have. I found a league to race in so now I'm not gonna dump as much money in this as I was gonna.

Thanks for the comments guys!

What league, is it just local, or national or what?

The only league i've heard of for that scale is the internationl mini-z racing.

Sorry I meant a 1/18th class for my propulse, so I'll be dumping more money into that. My radlines just something I can fool around with and make some cool stuff for it. I wish they had a class because you can really mod these things!

Well me and the guys on the radline forums found a way to stop stripping the spur gear which was the main problem, you need to shim the diff gear so that it makes better contact with the spur. I know a guy whos running the elite (crappy one) with a bypass system and hes running 3s lipo and is currently looking for the biggest baddest motor ever made in the 130, 180 size. I have a 6 cell and one of the radline motors, I need a hotter motor though.
