New colored gearboxes from TheToyz!!!!

Just looked on thetoyz.com and saw that losi has made different colored gearboxes that hav bearings!!!! the colors are red, blue, silver, and purple!!! they are $18 without shipping. im gonna get the purple 1 for my bl & purple micro t!!!!

Actualy that tranny would be alomst as big as the whole car:) I've been thinking of makeing a 1/24 scale wire framed sprint car. Just like the bigger 1/10 scale cars except 1/3 the size. I'm torn though. If I do it should I go with electric or try a .049 gas motor with direct drive like a real sprint? The elctric would be way easier, but the gas would be cool to hear as it runs.

It should be cool, but its going to be a while until I can afford to do this one.

I think it would be, the one issue I have ith the nitro on something that small is will it overheat too easily? I'd hate to spend all the time and money building it and then just burn up motors every time I used it.

A small cox engine for airplanes may overheat because it's made to handle that extreme air cooling produced by the prop when running at speed. My suggestion would be to install a strong brushless cooling fan by the engine or make sure it gets plenty of air cooling. Just my opinion...
