| It's not that bad. I might have to get a new cover because it hits the driveshaft. I took some material off where it rested on the chassis. I put a shim on now. It doesn't hit unless there is pressure(like snow on top) and i run in the snow...
I might buy some stainless-steel screws from rcscrewz. They just released a set and some screws are rusting with proper care especially the ones holding the esc case together.

| Never! Just kidding. I will have to bring this to the track. No upgrades planned yet, just looking into some lipos and the hard decision of which charger, well maybe big bores, mess with shock oil, cooling fan, heat sink, proline split sixes. Passport ultra, Onyx 230 and balancer, power supply and accucel 6 or 8, etc... lol
Any word on indoor? | |

| That's too bad. O well.
What charger would you recommend? I am seriously considering the accucel 6 or 8, New Passport ultra, Onyx 230. I wold need a power supply with accucel, and balancer with 230. I have been looking at some lipo batteries for the mlm and this 4x4 from hobbyking.
I am having some trouble finding this site. from google "rcaddictz" and click on link and it goes to some godaddy advertisement, "rcaddicts" goes to a completely different forum. weird.

| thanks. Update: Well i did a little mod. Using some silver paint. I think it looks a lot better and more realistic. Once Tower hobbies gets the rcscrewz kit instock, i'll order that through my lhs and probably some other things, maybe some springs, because the rear axle stubs bend because of the rear progressive rate springs. They say Losi XXX-T (2.5 and 2 inches) springs will fit. When install the screw kit i may just die the chassis and do the drive shaft mod( put electrical tape and then heat shrink part of the tube) so no dirt/debris can get in the chassis by the servo opening. Thanks guys. | |

also just wondering, are you guys talking about leisure hours? or is it a different track?

| Thanks guys
WE are talking about the Hobbytown USA in Crystal lake. I have never been to Leisure hours but would like to one of these days.
Traxxas is sending some replacement axles once they come back in stock. I am waiting for the stainless steel screw kit to come in stock at tower or Horizon and then i will order them through the lhs. Once i start installing that, some mods will also be made/ installed.

| Sorry for the double post: Update: Got a package a couple days ago: I changed the stock plugs to deans and had to modify the charger leads to accept all my other charging needs. The lipo packs are 5 grams lighter with the dean plugs. Anyways, The Accucel 6 is a great charger. I have charged 3 packs, all lipos (2 above, and micro t lipo) and i am currently using the storage function. The packs are really great. Tons of power and keep the power. I only tested each battery for 15mins, but run time was already longer than stock. Over all i am very happy. | |

| I was thinking about getting that charger when I saw it on the hobbyking site, is it strictly lipo? I have a duratrax ICE, it's an amazing charger(it charges anything from lead acid batteries to li-ion) but I ran out of model memories. You've got a good setup there though.

Schwenzo It does everything. NICD, NIMH, LIPO, LiIon, LIFE, Pb. I have only done the lipo charge, lipo balance and lipo storage functions so far. For $25 bucks it is a great deal(I got it for $30 then the next day it goes for $25) Lug: no you cant $20 1/10th scale lipos are amazing. Can't wait to purchase the $9 1/18th scale batteries. brushless: You better watch their site. They came in stock one day and were out of stock in the next couple of hours, the bigger 5200mah 30c hardcase packs sold even faster. Then a week later they came back in stock and i got them just in time.

| Update: Got my rcscrewz kit in last week and tore down the kit, cleaned it and well you'll see. Dyed the chassis black. I think it looks a lot better. I rotated the motor 90* counter-clockwise to get the wires out of the way, that should help the motor temps. But i needed a new place to keep the wires out of the way. I looked where the side nerf bar attaches and the wire hold down, found a longer screw and This is where it originally mounted: Took it out for a spin yesterday. Every thing looks fine: WRONG Snapped A-arm, and the differential housing cracked on both parts. I just picked up the front bulkhead just incase, and glad i did, the steering tower's were bent. So what happened? I was driving and all of a sudden i see the front end dip down and the rear fly foward, in the air and a front flip, landing on the driver's side front wheel on a curb. The way it hit was why it broke, it hit the curb on top of the wheel and the side of the front bumper, pushing the a-arm down to snap and hit the housing. If it was a front bumper impact i believe i would have been fine. I walked over and looked and a stick was caught in the front left driveshaft, that would explain the dip and the flip. Bad luck , and a freak accident. Gives me a reason to upgrade. | |

| Update: I got my parts in monday and started to work right away as a battery was charging. Yep, rpm arms all around. It ran great after wards. Went out with my friend and his 4x4(all stock, even stock battery), while i had rpm arms and lipos. I was a little faster in the drag race, because i turned the motor i was about 10 degrees cooler. Even though he had 8.4vand i had 7.4, i was running longer than he was. | |
