Micro-Desert Truck Graphite Chassis Conversion!

I just got my new chassis and workstand in, yay!!!
I documented the whole conversion and will put a review of the stand, graphite chassis and LiPo BATT.(FINALLY!)
later tonight(like in an hour)

i had a micro-t once but i took it apart and was going to make a micro dragster and i lost most of the parts and i recently found them and me and my friend smashed the trans

If you want to get rid of the rest cheap I'm kind of building an RC junkyard.

Taht sounds cool, maby you could run a xmod crawler in there

Sorry I'm keepin my parts, have my little plano tackle box filled with parts and spares. And I have an rc junkyard too, right now it's in a 10 gallon rubbermaid.

This is a 3Racing graphite chassis for the Micro-Desert Truck. It is a plate type chassis with a plastic battery/servo holder that also has mounts for the stock electronics board. The switch, however, is moved to a special enclosed holder to the left of the truck next to the servo. I should also mention that this looks remarkably lke carbon fibre. The chassis is comprised of a top and bottom plate, a custom front bulkhead which is neede due to the fact that the stock one is molded into the chassis, a plastic battery/servo holder,and a separate switch holder. It took about twenty minutes to do this conversion and the new chassis feels a lot lighter than the stocker. Fit and finish was very good and the quality if of X-rays specs,if you know what I mean

Step 1: mount radio board and switch:

Step 4: set servo into place on bottom plate and mount top plate:



Step 5: mounting the antenna:

This screw is where tha antenna will be mounted, that copper ring around it is where the brass antenna will be mounted:



A pic of the antenna mounted, the directions state to bend the antenna at a ninety degree angle 5-5 milimeters from the loop at the end. It actually needs to be bent right after the loop or it will not fit through the antenna hole.

Well, there ya go! The long awaited review. I also got bearings for the wheels too. Sorry about the pic quality, I cant seem to get the cam setup right.

I would give weight, but I just don't have the means to do it, the stock does feel heavier though, just by a smidge.

hey you got the same cell phone as me but the chassis/truck looks nice it makes me want to find a cheap micro-t to mess with

Now that makes the truck sweet looking

Good deal, keep everything...you never know wha you might be able to use. I have stuff that I don't even know what it is or where it came from.

I know, I was driving it all night. Cuz I had a lotta caffiene and lloked like this:
But one thing I never notced is how hot the motor gets after 30 minutes of run time. And I don't know if you saw it in the pictures, but the progressive rate rear springs are workin' real well.

My rear sway bar is from that lying around junk!

Me too, too much to even count! I'm working on a carbon fibre front bumper for my dt right now. I'm really addicted to the stuff!
