bar321's revo conversion

well I'm gonna convert my revo to BL . After having it sit in the garage sink for over a year with out being touched (its a pain to tune and nitro is up to like 40$ a gallon here) i finally decided to convert it to BL gonna use a Feigao 10L motor, a 70 Amp Speed Controller, and 2 AE 3000 mah wolfpacks (then when i get a job upgrade to a 13.2v a123 pack with charger) and gonna get a rc monster motor mount. All comes to 260$.....so far i have 10$ so might be a bit till i "start" but gonna sell the stock nitro stuff on ebay to help fund this project and might sell my mini lst that NEVER gets run. And plan on using the stock brakes and reverse and custom making mounts for every thing else. I will have pics up in the morning.

Sounds sweet, but the nimh packs wont do well with bl... use lipo or else you will glitch a ton no matter the radio or esc. The packs just cant supply the amps for everything and the priority ends up being the esc and motor.

with 2 6cell packs its 14.4v witch is what alot of pll wiith bl e-revo's run and if i went a123 it would cost 2x as much so i plan on running ni mh untill i get more $$$

OK, but if you have problems... go lipo. voltage doesnt matter for your radio (so long as your running at least 4 nimh cells) its the amps. You wantabout 3amps going to your radio constantly, and in highpower conditions, the nimh cells dont have enough power for system, so you radio doesnt get enough amps to operate properly.

ya i might use the stock radio batt (5 cell) and the esc says it has a 3 amp bec idk what that means tho so is it good or bad ??

Im pretty sure you can still power a reciever from 2 ports, ive done it before.

if i can get my castle link to work i'm gunna turn off the BEC and just run a separte reciver pack if it starts glitching on my SW, cuz i've been having major glitching issues lately tho that probally has lots to do with all the exposed wires....
