| It was a different world then... kids actully had to work if they wanted cool stuff. The good part was that we had a lot more freedom than people have now. We didn't have news people trying to scare parents all the time... So most of the really cool toys were outdoor stuff, guns, fireworks, dirtbikes... Oh and week long camping trips with no parents. So mowing some lawns wasn't too much to ask. | |

| My basement is unfinished, so i basically have that as my rc room/ mini track. I cant have em anywhere else in the house except my room when my mom isn't home. Once me and my dad finish my garage, im gonna move everything out there. btw I mow 4 lawns once a week and am a handyman for those four houses too( i powerwash install doors paint garages etc...) Ypu think i'd have more money for rc, but i blow it all on amp and chips when im hangin out with my friends.

Whats wrong with work? I'm proud to work for my own stuff. No one in "todays" world seems to know how to work they all want everything handed to them on a silver plater. I'm really disappointed in "my" generation, they are all going to end up being a bunch of lazy bums.

not to dreamcrush you or anything but, unless you got a metal shop in your garage have fun gettin that to fit... it's not stardard bigblock mounts and the t-maxx is a small block,... my advice get a savage instead way better from what i've heard about t-maxxes... + you can put the k5.9 in it stock no mods, one of the most powerfull rtr motors out thier... and well bigger faster tougher, no whippy plastic driveshafts, all metal tranny excpept for spur but that's fine, longest shocks out thier in the RC world to my knowalage at 6.75in. so yeah the savage is a bit better than the max imo, and i could go one for a while but i'll just leave it at that... the lug

| I have my t-maxx 3.3, and I love it to death, sometimes I wanna soak it in nitro and burn it to h-e-double-hockey-sticks though. My relationship with traxxas is a love/hate one, but i'm okay with that. I could've gotten myself a savage 21(ya, remember those!) It was $699 at my lhs two weeks after it came out. But the owner talked me out of it as i was an extreme noob to mt's. I now regret it cuz i know what i'm doing and how cool they are, but I love the shop owner for talking me into a stampede(he talked me outta a t-maxx pro.15, too) But my origional stampede was a blast, it never made it past a 21 turn stinger and an XL-10 ESC, but I never broke it and it was so fun and hassle free. I would never get rid of my maxx though for reasons I will never know. Wow, this thread is so off topic... Schwenzo | |

| yeah it went form on road losi's to off road maxx's and savy's TC-MT... i'm kinda that way with my evader and i just found out that i order the idler gear for the ext not the evader, aprent the bushing (on ext evader has full BB's) is bigger i could fix that but the gear is also a tad bit bigger, so i'm screwed cuz that's what i stripped and i didn't even melt my B2 diff when it got so hot i alomst burned my self... so i'm offcailly impressed with that and the savage has come a long was since the 21 yet most parts are still compatable, but the X spec parts are much better, well the s25 and older are stonger but wiegh more, and the x parts are weaker but lighter all by the slightest amounts. you also get a 3 shoe clutch, and easy acces diffs and hey i'm gloriying the savage again... how'ld that happen the lug | |

| Reyzo & Shaun, keep up the good attitude and you'll own the rest of your generation. Just remember to work smart as well as hard and you'll appreciate what you have more than someone who gets everything given to them. I never used to believe that...but it turns out its true. Now I gotta go buy a lotto ticket...I'm not totally giving up on the something for nothing dream. Oh and BMD, if you can figure out how to mount the engine I sy go for it. It could be a really cool thing that no one else has... of course its not going to be easy but if you can make a mounting plate it would be cool. | |

I'll ask next time i'm there! And 1/18th you could run your mini-t no problemo! Right now the mini class is non existent from a bad race night a yaer ago that lasted till 1 in the morning. It take 4 ppl to make a class, and i got me, and 2 frineds, so you would make four! We could start out with that and slowly word will get out! As for getting a tc, do it!!! Most ppl think they arnt fun cause you have to drive them on prepared sufaces, that bing true and wrong bewcause they have to ba ran on prepared surfaces, but when done so that are simple awesome! If you run turing 13.5, (stock) you gona be hitting 35-40mph down the straight!!! The track being 100x80 feet and laps averaging 10.5 to 11.5, tc racing is the formula one of rc! (besides 1/8th on-road nitro) And for those who get stuff from taking 10 minutes to clean their room, you are the ones who give us the image of bing lazy! I do this every week mutiple times: clean room vaccume whole house feed dog empty dishwasher take out garbage and recycle pick up dog crap mow our lawn 2 times a week watch my high functioning autistic lil bro (sucks!) For all of that i get 15 bucks ANd i mow 3 other lawns 1ce a week for 15 bucks each = $45 Now i have to mow my grandparents lawn because my grandpa just had tripple bypass surgury, i do that 1ce a week for 10 bucks I make: 15+ 45 + 10 = $70 a week, and trust me itsa well earned!!! I work just as much as my mom works for here part time job, and i make as much as she make in half a day It tick me off that just cause im 15 means i get paid nothing to do the same amount of work as someone 2-3 times as old as me! Oh well its the crappy world we live in so... Nothing i can do. That bwing said everything on my workbench (including the workbench) is definatly well earned and charished!

| yeah i bet, i'm not allowed to get a job, and i'm not allowed to pull from my accout that i my allonce went into for the past 8 years, but no, thats for gas and insurance on a car that i don't have... so my mom just pays for all my rc stuff as i found out recently, i was under the impression that she would just take it from said account, but i get 3 bucks a week (paid ananually if i'm lucky but i alway get the $ in the end i got a $250 pay off to the account that not for fun stuff coming up)
i'ld be glad to do all that stuff if i got to see the $...
70 a week would be SWEEEEEEEEEEEEETTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT

| What does high functioning mean when it comes to Autism? I'm just curious because I have a friend who's son was diagnosed with autism and he just seems bored. I'm not saying that there isn't a problem, it just got me wondering what the definition of autism is now that they've expanded the range. | |
