| Ok, I got bored and started messing with the HPI Cuda picture. Its not great but what the heck... I know I could have trimed it closer and added a shadow so it looks like it's sitting on the ground, but that was too much work for tonight. Anyways, I think a simple fade, keep the Cuda stripe, maybe go with black for the number??? | |

| Shouldn't the number be in a white box or circle? Or am I thinking really old road racing vehicles? I guess I should really wake up properly before posting, where's the coffee? | |

| If you're trying to copy the old Trans Am series it should be... I have no idea if the RC series has the same paint restrictions that the SCCA did. I alway hated that...the circles were OK (not great but OK) but those ugly little squares...ugh.
BMD, you don't necessarily want matching colors for a number on a race car because contrast makes it easier to read which helps the people doing the scoring (they're kind of important because if they don't record your lap you lose it). RC's are different because of the transponders but if you want it to look like a racer then... well that's why I was debating the white vs blue.

| You dont i never knew that you didnt want the color's to match i thought on race car's you alway's had to have matching color's like blue and white or red and black | |

| Dude,
Blue and white would be CONTRASTING colors (so is Bright Red and Black).
I think I'd do the silly white squares (or circles) to keep with the feel of SCCA Trans-Am from that period.
Now if they had the AMC Javelin body (Penske RED, WHITE and BLUE) that would be fun.

| I think he means complimentary colors... This color wheel shows the primary colors, secondary colors, and the tertiary (3rd) colors. It also shows the relationships between complementary colors across from each other on the color wheel, such as blue and orange; and analogous (similar or related) colors next to each other on the color wheel such as yellow, green and blue. Black and white may be thought of as colors but, in fact, they are not. White light is the presence of all color - black is the absence of reflected light and therefore the absence of color.Unless, of course, you are talking about actual light then the primary colors would be red, blue and green. | |

| Are you an Art Major?
I thought white was the absence of color and Black the totallity of color, but I've been wrong before.
Nice chart, I was going to look for one earlier today but didn't get the time.

| I had art as a minor. Actually, I misspoke... with light, white is the presence of all colors and black is the absence of it. With pigment, its the opposite...duh, my bad. The chart I kind of swiped from the OSU art dept. online resources (Shhhh...its a secret ). My spell checker popped up on "Shhhh" and suggested Chihuahua... don't you just love technology? | |

| Yes you need the White # circles on each door, one on the hood, and one on the trunk lid. They are reqired to race. also all paint jobs should be period specific. No wild designs and neon colors.
Also, all the bodie should be cut along the trim lines. No modifications.
