| That has got to be the sweetes backyard track I ever seen. I wish I could make one. Maybe at my cousins house... How are you fastening the track barriers down. Or are they juust laid there?

| That does look great. You might want to put a board at the top of the bank to avoid the fence catching and breaking stuff when you get too high. | |

| Thanks guys, as for the board mounting, if you look at the previous pics, i pounded the boards into the dirt. (i have finally done it with the rest of the track as well) they have yet to come loose. I havnt run into any problems with the fence yet, and i cant fint any more thin boards to put up, so i think im gona leave it for now. I should have a vid up on friday. | |

| Next summer, after it has time to settle, if you get and mix 80% clay and 20% sand you will have an unbelievably racing surface. That small of an area shouldn't cost too much, I'd guess you want it maybe 2-3 inches thick. The before racing just lightly mist it with a garden hose. | |

| Ok, i was planning on just getting sand and mixing it in with the soil since i already has clay in it, but it doesn't have 80%. Maby I could use some X-Mas money for it | |

| You may have enough clay in the local soil, the best way to find out would be take a small bucket of dirt and mix it with the sand (not the white sand...just regular old sand) add just enogh water as you mix it to make it damp...then really pack it hard to make a small hill. wait until it rains and if it doesn't errode after a few good rains you'll know its good. Oh, it will errode a little now matter what... just make sure it doesn't get really pitted. | |
