Thats still very fast!
Its got a 2 speed tranny, and a revo tech suspension, its bsically a scaled down revo suspension, which means no aftermarket parts on release.

I want one, but only if it were electric. If traxxas released a electric version of the slayer i would get it (i know theres the slash, but i want revo spec suspension) i am still very confused on wether or not to get a slash, but we shall see.

Get the nitro slayer and hop it up

I hate nitro, i have never owned one, but i have a very close friend with a nitro rustler, its just too much up keep and expense. It gets to a point where it isn't fun anymore, and thats just well... Not FUN!

I will get the slash/slayer there both really good high quality trucks but the slayer isnt water proof like the slash and the slayer you have to buy a $28 dollar can of gas probably every week or you just let it be a shelf queen for spring and summer and do ice drifting in fall and winter

Well if you run it all day you will use a little more than a gallon, so it depends on how often you run it. most people run 1-2 gallon a month so...

I used to run COX powered stuff all the time and it was expensive just for the little .049 motors... these bigger engines have to wear out faster and suck up more fuel. I'd stick with electric unlessl you have a really good job and son't mind tossing some money around.

You will also want alot of patience, cause tuning sucks!

Actually the next shipment of fuel my hobby shop gets is going to go up to $45 a gallon, and its supposed to be like that everywhere.

The reason fuel is so expensive is because china shut down it's only two nitro plants, thus means that no more nitro is being made. Once the olympics are over though, the plants will resume operation.

I didn't know that, so then the price should go down, or just stay the same because of this crappy economy.

No, the price of the fule is up because of the 08 olympics, they will start making it again afterwards.

That wouldn't happen for a long time!!! Its a huge segment of this hobby, and there would be too much lost money.
