It was a 96 Taurus... it I finally retired it after it's 3rd deer hit. I thought they did a pretty good job on the install too. If I'd still had the race car shop it would have taken maybe five or six hours with 2 or 3 people so I thought anything under a grand was a great deal. I still have a 96 that has 466,000 miles on it. It's in sad shape but I want to nurse this thing to half a million miles before I scrap it. They are really well built cars, not real fast or pretty, but they drive well nd get good mileage. And, the funny part is, they handle way better than they should. With a decent set of tires you can push these around a corner faster than 90% of the cars out there once you figure out you can steer by lifting off the throttle until t over-steers and then stab it when it's pointing the right direction.

Lol, we used to ahve a blue 96 with something around 250,000 miles and the transmission went. Great cars, my mother currently has a 2000 taurus and it also is a great built car, no major problems with it.

lol that is true, the 96 taurus handles and drives nice for what they are. I don't have a taurus but I have the same car with a diff brand name (i.e. mercury), and I can push that thing quite hard for what it is. lol I have even drove it with out breaks one time for about 30 miles (from the RC track to home) when a break line blew. It might not have been the smartest thing to do, but I did just fine and got home safe with out any issues.

I did that bin a Malibu once...from a nightclub. I had a first gen Sable, I loved that car, but probably the best car I've ever had as far as toughness was concerned was an 84 Tempo with a 4cly and five speed. I'd just gotten rid of a Jeep and loved off roading...that Tempo made it places that no car ever should have.

lol, there is always that one car that seems to take anything.
The last car I drove killed it self. I don't know what happend exactly as I never opened the engine up, but in any case the pistons or what not were knocking badly so need less to say that engine died walong the side of the road (I did make it with in 5 miles from my house, and again I had to drive about 30 miles but this time from school (college)) That car was a 92 doge shadow.
Also correction the current car isn't a 96, but rather a 97. Although it still looks the same.

lol lug.
I think I might try to make a tip out to this track some time this month or next month (not sure if I will be able to yet, but I will see what happens)
I have been there quite a few times last year (winter indoor season, and a few time at there out door track). Although they made the place bigger, and have a differnt track surfface (part of that is my doing, as I asked if they get better dirt that would have more grip being that the track is very tight). If I had to guess the grip, it would be med/high (last year it was low grip), with maybe a little be of dust/loom on the top if it drys out (although the race line should stay clear).

Weird coincidence but I was driving past the mini golf course up the road today and noticed that the batting cages were gone and there was a covered drivers stand beside the area where they used to be. I stopped and they now have a small hobby shop (mostly trains) and they have a nice concrete track with the best drivers stand I've seen. Of course they wont be running races until Spring but at least I have something to look forward to as long as they have a night when the 1:1 races aren't running.

Sounds like fun, although I would say start talking to them now and maybe you can get them to not run on a 1:1 race days.
On-road would be fun (as in on-road on the road, not carpet). Although I say that, but there is an on-road track (paved) about 1.5 hours away (although I think they only run nitro on-road. I guess what I am getting at, off-road is where it is at.
PS get some pic's so we can see.

Yeah, I need to ztop up and talk to them...I'm hoping they'll have a class that my old BoLink pan cars can run. I still have one of the Gold seriez cars that's never been built. Graphite pan, CF axle, titanium bits and pieces.
And if they have an unlimited 2wd class it would scream with a brushless and a lipo.
BTW, I just found this:

Sweet cut the grass in style as well as have your partner sit on the back for extra traction. lmao
Bo link who races those cas anymore, that is a sign that you have been out of the racing seen way to long. lol But you never know maybe you can get some people who would want to run that class.
I don't know what they will have, but just basing my guess on what runs at most out-door tracks you can bet on 10th scale nitro, 8th scale nitro, 8th scale GT (cheep nitro kyosho cars), 10th scale ele., and maybe 12th scale ele. Then maybe the F1 class (10th scale pan type ele. cars), and maybe a few others.
I only say nitro is a given as the area seems to explode with nitro cars durring the summer, and with on-road in the area nitro is about the only thing ran out door.
On a side note I got to drive a bolink digger at my local indoor carpet track (keep in mind a 13.5 BL set-up is really too fast for that track is it is very tight and small), and that sucker had a 3.5 BL motor, as well as a 2s li-po, and wow did that thing scoot. If you just touhed the throtte slightly the front end was in the air, and on the stright I was only 1/4 of the way down before I had to lest off. lol

Here is somthing crazy for you, for school we had to write a paper on an astronomy topic, and then we sumitted it to check for plagiarism (though a program through the schools site, that students and teachers have access to).
Ok that in it self isn't all that crazy, or is the fact that on 1 line I quoted was found on the same site I used (still not that big of a deal).
... But there were other lines that I wrote, but yet they were found on other sites on line (word for word or darn near it), and keep in mind I never use those site as a source, nor have I ever seen those site before. So with that in mind that is just crazy. I didn't fail the paper for plagiarism, but that is just F'ed up that I wrote those lines but yet they were already out there. lol

Yeah, I know, the BoLinks were kind of dated when I bought them, but when you consider how much time a lot of people spend on the walls it's not that bad to have a slower heavier car if you have more control. Besides, no one ran around here except on 1:1 nights so there was no reason to update.
The Plagiarism thing is tough, now with the internet teachers can run a search on a whole paper and check all phrases. There is a program that looks for similar writing and rates the percentage of similarity. With as much written stuff out there it's hard not to find something.
BTW, is it me or did Brenda Song used to look better?

I don't think so, I didn't watch it but I have an over the top flamboyantly gay friend who was upset about this performance. No one got upset about the Borat guy's new movie...I think it was the simulated blow job on stage that upset people. Like I said I didn't see it so I don't know how graphic it was but there are a lot f people who get upset by this sort of stuff no matter who does it. As far as I'm concerned be as gay as you want, but don't be an exhibitionist...no body likes exhibitionists no matter what their particular bent is.

"that was such a gay party" could mean that was such a fun/happy party, or such a bad, stupid dumb w/e or homesexual party, so yes people sorry if whatever has happened to you or you find this subject metter offensive eitehr grow up and get over it or walk away,
