| Well ive been thinking, ive always wanted an rc8 but cud never afford the rtr or kit. So ive decided to buy groups of the parts and slowly piece it together like a kit. and also instead of it being nitro, im going to convert it to electric cuz im not good with nitro. When i sell my t4 (hopefully) i will place my 1st order. i cant wait!! if anyone here has any experience with these or any tips on upgrades to buy right off the bat, please help!

| For upgrades get the big bore shocks, and an alum steering peice in place of the CF rack.
There are a few other things but I can't think of what they are, but those are the first thing you would want to upgrade.
For a motor and ESC get the MMM set-up, and stay away from the Novak set-up. I can't really help you that much with it, as really I don't care for the ele. 8th scales (although I should look into them more as they are ran at my local track)
As for tips, the car will be really, really fast, so be carfull. lol

| Every bit helps! thanks bro! i actually had the carbon fiber steering rack on my list, but will change it to aluminum. I will b picking up the big bore shocks too and the mmm combo probably will be one of the last things i do due to the price lol, but wud love to get one!! | |

| I would wait on the mmm and see the reviews on tekins 1/8th setup. It looks to be more efficient and adjustable | |

| that system is freakin beastly!! just saw a guy at my lhs today running his stock e revo brushless edition with 2 7 cell 4200 and he couldnt keep the front tires on the ground no matter how hard he tried lol he was talking about going 2 3s 4000mah- 5000mah lipos within the next month! when i do get the mmm combo, ill definitly be switching it out between my e revo and rc8e (when its finishd) | |

| I hate that, I just got snaked in the last ten seconds of a bid on an esc/motor combo. That just annoys the heck out of me, I mean just bid...it's not like I would have gone higher and outbid him anyway, that's what the auto bidding for, so you can bid the max you're willing to spend. | |

| well the last lot of parts just ended and was only able to walk away with a front and rear sway bar kit, which im not complaining, those usually go for $25 and i paid $3.86 shipped! i was hoping to get a front shock tower but that didnt happen, oh well at least i got something. | |

| It was the one from the Losi Desert truck with the matching motor. I had a bid of $30 it went for $31.
So do you have most of the stuff to out together the 8?

| Yeah, I have heard it's not really all that strong, but it's gotta beat the heck out of the stock 27T Wheely King motor. I've been reading about all sorts of bad things that happen to the WK driveline if you go for too hot of a motor, so I'm setting aside a little each month to buy a Axila trans, and I think something around a 5700 brushless setup, six cells. In the mean time I'm stretching the chassis, widening it, looking for stiffer shocks and possibly a rear sway bar. But since this is going to take a while to afford, I thought a slightly hotter motor/esc that I could swap out into one of the pan cars would keep me using it this summer.
Sorry about the thread hijack, I'll shut up now.

| that sounds like a good idea sidewinder but if you're running good batts and the 5700 is anything like the power my 4600 puts down it'll blow your pants off...
speaking about beast power and getting back on subject, the tekin combo (motor and ESC) is listed on tower for 340ish

| the tekin sounds like a good system but the price is way to much for me and plus i had a mamba 25 8000kv in my mini baja and loved it, so i think im gonna stick with the mamba system. | |
