I am studying auto tech, and later on I will go to another school for auto body (the I go to doesn't offer it). For me it is easy, as I know how to do a lot of that stuff, but it never hurts to know more, and after I have taken all the classes I can, then I get to have fun with the ASE test.

Cool, I took the ASE years ago when it and I were younger. If they haven't changed too much really study the transmission stuff. The bodywork should be fun, I never got into it much although I have painted a few race cars. They were easy because they use the 50/50 rule... t just has to look good at 50 mph at 50 ft away

I really wish they had offered some of the cool auto programs back when I was young enough to climb under (and back out from under) a car... well, I suppose I still could but now it seems like work

Anyways, back on topic.

I had no traction last raceday, and i found out that my tires were "glazed", in other words, they had a plastic look to them.
Well i finally got to fixing the problem today, and it turns out that good ol simple green is a soulution! I sprayed the tires with it, and scrubed them down and now theyre good as new!
I should have plenty of traction tomarrow, so we shall see if i can get some good footage.

Simple green, huh? I would never have thought about that...I always scuffed them up with sandpaper. Good tip!

I tried that, but that wears the tires. After you use the simple green, if your still not having the same traction, use traction compound on the whole tire, and let it dry completely. You should then have like new traction or better.
