| I like um, they give it that little extra of pizazz, ya know. But I like NASCAR too, so any sponsor decal is worth it to me. | |

I guess you missed the HUGE Raybestos Brakes decal on the hood and quarter panels. 24th scale NASCAR decals seem to work well size-wise on 18th scale trucks.

| I think he meant stickers that on a real truck would be sponsores... I doubt that raybestos and proline are sending money or parts. Although, I could be wrong, it has happened once or twice in the past. | |

| Well AC Delco (a GM Company) did do a partial sponsorship on a FORD car in NASCAR at one time. The Owner/Driver of the car was Ricky Rudd. It was the 10 Tide car in the 90's I believe. | |

Yep! we have a spec class that only allows Chevy 350's built by 2 different garages... of course you'd have to run it on the dirt track and it would end up looking something like this at best (well, except it would still be a Chevy):

| Yeah, I just noticed the McHenry on your avatar... I was just in Chicago two weeks ago. If you ever head down that way check out the Navy Peir...I didn't have a chance to go this time but its usualy a really cool place.
Oh, and if you like racing (full size) check out Chasing Racin...just google it along with track finder and it will help you find all of the race tracks in your state. The best way to get into racing if your not born into a racing family is to hang out at a local track and offer to help with one of the cars... most guys are way short handed and would live to have some help. They probably wont be able to pay you but most will eventully get you into the pts for free... then if you work with them long enough they might even put you in a car, or at least help you build one.

| Go karts are great but they have gotten expensive... there was a go kart racer that built what he called a super kart a few years back (1100cc yamaha motor...big spoiler...groung effects, etc) and at the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course he turned in several laps that were within 2 seconds of the Indy Cars...it was wild. Its too bad a competitive kart cost 15-20 thousand anymore.
If you dad will let you I'd hook up with on of the racers that are family friends and ask them if you can help by cleaning the car, sweeping out the garage, and then work your way up t helping fix stuff. A lot of guys would be happy to teach you what you need to know. I knew a guy from my school who did this for a sprint car team when we were in high school and now he's on a NASCAR team as one of the pit crew. He races a late model off season down south.

| I have to ask this of Sidewinder.
Have you raced at Eldora (Tony Stewart now owns it) I know it's in Ohio but not sure where in relation to you (or in relation to the Basket building around Dresden where I've been once.)

I looked through my pics to see if I had any from Eldora (I usualy don't have anyone take pictures...its bad luck. Yhea I know but most racers are superstitious ). My friend Shaun (no not that one ) took this in 2004 (?)... it ad to be between 2002 and 2004 because of the really bright, somewhat gay paint. I'm in the last car pictured. If you think the paint looks bright here you sould have seen it in the sun! I had complaints about blinding the other drivers... it was because amoung others it was sponsored by a Tiki Bar. And one rather, ah...questionable...nightclub.
